Monkeyrobot
They have no tourism here since the start of the pandemic, you think what tourists are left you would invite to stay until they can safely return home, they are spending money which is good for business that rely on tourists. Once there gone Pattaya and parts of BKK will be like ghost towns, what will the locals do then? Just require them to have medical insurance to stay until the pandemic is over.

Letseng
Brits complain about Thailand Immigration. What about British Home Office "hostile environment" policy? EU citizens working in UK and registering presence with Home office but are refused hard copy proof of registration? Brits want from other countries what Britain doesn't grant to foreigners. Happyman567
I still say those on NON Immigrant Visas based on marriage should of had their visas honoured till they ran out Now they cant cross the border so all the government had to do was just stamp them in till their visas ran out then if they wanted they could of got an extension This is just a blatant money grab because if they are willing to extend a visa then they are saying that visa is still valid I tell you what I got a 2 month extension If this amnesty goes through I will asking for an extra month The PM has just realized there are 150,000 farang in Thailand who are in limbo Many many are on NON O visas

Popular Post Scouse123
You know I read some really stupid stuff on here, like ' The Prime minister will lose face, and jokes about them changing their minds. etc. Most of these comments are from those LIVING around Thailand but cannot speak the language, apart from ordering beer, check bin, thank you, and that's about it. They do not understand the language or systems but think they can advise us all on Thai Visa and then sit in their computer chair thinking how well they have done with their smug ill informed comments and are expecting a ' like ' from forum members to say how smart they are. I have taken and paid for from my own pocket during my 26 years in Thailand, three Thais and put them through English in the UK. We still, all of us, stay in touch now. The Thai government have advisers, do you people really think a nation as large as this, just does not know what is going on in the world? They don't give a damn about the spending power of a few expats from Europe, America or anywhere else. They must look at the big picture. They are fighting a massive pandemic and sure, things will change on a daily basis until they know where they are. they are changing the rules daily in Europe and around the world. Of course, they want to get the bloody country open ASAP, they want the revenue, same as every other state. I speak, like others long term on here, Thai and Lao, and yes, thee is a vast difference. More than that, I buried myself in the culture for ten years. I am addressed by Thais in Isaarn by name, not by the term Farang or any other relating to foreigners. I equally know their names, and chat, smile and buy products and speak to all of them as my equals, which they are. THESE PEOPLE ARE NOWHERE NEAR AS STUPID AS THEY WOULD HAVE YOU BELIEVE, IT'S ALL A GAME! 2
