Cheapest PCR test in Phuket?

Recommended Posts

Hi, my parents will fly on Emirates from BKK next month, they need negative PCR test from "any government hospital"... Does anybody know where is the best price in Phuket? In June I did it in Vachira for 4-5k, wondering if there are cheaper options now... Thanks in advance!

If they fly from BKK maybe something in BKK is an option?  I used https://www.vfsglobal.com/en/individuals/covid-test.html   I paid 3000 Baht, which included taking the test at home, and a courier brought the result next day to my home. The lab they use, Prolab, is an approved facility.

Thanks... Hmmm, called Emirates and they confirmed "it has to be government hospital"...

I flew with Etihad, they have a list with "List of Certified Covid-19 PCR TEST Centers (Approved by the Department of Medical Sciences, Ministry of Public Health)"    https://www.etihad.com/content/dam/eag/etihadairways/etihadcom/Global/pdf/travel-guidelines/approved-test-centres-bangkok.pdf

I used Prolab, it was on the list. But this is a list used by Etihad.

I choose this lab because it was the cheapest I could find, others asked 2x 3x more. And service was good, testing at home, and the result in 24 hours by courier. And same evening by email.

Thanks, yes that is for Etihad only... Emirates doesn't have Thailand on their list of approved test centres, so at that time I hoped they don't need to test if departing from here, but when I called Emirates they specifically told me test has to be done in "government hospital"... Such a pity Qatar doesn't fly to their place (Doha transit doesn't require PCR test).
