There's no fixing stupid! Woman wore earphones in the shower then DRIED them in the microwave!

Sanook reported on a post on "Phoo Boriphoke" (Consumer) on Facebook. 

 

A woman who they said had "music in her heart" wore earphones to listen to music while taking a shower. 

 

This seemed like normal activity in their report. 

 

But what followed was anything but. 

 

The woman decided that in order to dry them it would be a good idea to put them in the microwave for a full minute.

 

Not surprisingly they exploded in flames. 

 

The Facebook page said: "Don't do this. Don't put electronics in the microwave".

 

Now you know!

There was a woman who successfully sued a microwave manufacture (in USA of course) when she tried to dry her wet kitten (it died) in her brand new microwave.......said there was nothing in the instructions advising her not to do that!!!

In emergencies, microwave ovens can be used to dry some things, eg some types of clothes.
It requires lowest settings for short durations (10 seconds), then take it out and fan it, then repeat until almost dry.

 

Anyhow I don't think she did this entirely out of stupidity, although I admit it makes a good headline.

Probably she knew they were beyond repair and nuked them out of frustration. I've gotten expensive electronics wet before and I know the feeling.

AH, ok you also remember that story from an American woman putting her dog in the microwave !

Never heard the end of it , as she was suing microwave company. It was not in the manual, you couldnt do that.

Unfortunately, this article reminded me of a heinous act in the US I read about years ago in which a young guy microwaved a 2 month old baby!
