We often go for a pint after work, but like to give the remainer bars a miss, they're easy to spot as they generally have their remainer song blaring out of the pub by Dean Martin 'whose that fool in the corner, I say it's that little old whine remainer me'.

........plus they share a beer with straws..................????

Can,t speak for my learned friend, however being a resident of the uk can only suggest if you lived here it would answer your question.

You are suggesting that people who don't live in the UK don't know enough about the subject.

EU contempt laid bare: Maastricht Treaty meant to be kept SECRET from citizens

THE EUROPEAN UNION wanted to keep the Maastricht Treaty secret from the public - but because Denmark was legally obligated to have a referendum on it, copies of the Treaty ended up being leaked to a newspaper in the UK, Ukip founder Alan Sked has told Express.co.uk.

Make your mind up.

Project Fear was a Vote.Leave campaign slogan.

Oh dear. Wrong again.

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2016/aug/20/brexit-eu-referendum-economy-project-fear

Where does it say in that article that Remain made up, let alone used, the 'Project Fear' slogan?

It doesn't!

In fact the author, Larry Elliott

Quote

supported Britain leaving the European Union[3][4] after having voted to leave the EEC in 1975[5]. Elliott is an outspoken critic of the European Union, authoring articles for the Guardian such as “Brexit is a rejection of Globalisation,”[6] saying that the decision of the UK population to leave the European Union in 2016, is testament to the failure of the E.U. to act on promises it previously made to protect its member states from the worst extends of Globalisation. In Elliott's view, these include the funding of more affordable homes, and the provision of more employment opportunities. [7]

Hardly a Remainer!

So your much trumpeted 2010 poll is as meaningless as any other; glad we agree at last.

Yes similar to the link that you provided

25 September 2020

question

If there was another referendum on Britain’s membership of the EU, how would you vote?

remain 43%

leave 43%

don't know/undecided 13%

https://whatukthinks.org/eu/questions/if-a-second-eu-referendum-were-held-today-how-would-you-vote/

so if you add the 13% undecided to both the remain and leave gives you 56% remain or 56% leave

Whereas if you do it with the 24th October 2020 one you'd end up with 58% for Remain or 55% for leave. Do it with the  11 December 2019 one and you'd end up with 53% Remain or 49% Leave!

You can play such mathematical games with both set polls to produce the result that suits you. Reputable polling organisations, though, don't.

However, neither campaign wasted their time and money targeting  those who had already made up their mind; whether they'd been committed Leavers or Remainers since 1975 or became so later! They targeted the don't knows.

EU set to impose tariffs on $4 billion U.S. goods next week

By Philip Blenkinsop, Andrea Shalal

4 Min Read

BRUSSELS/WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The European Union is poised to move next week to impose tariffs on $4 billion of U.S. imports in retaliation for U.S. subsidies for planemaker Boeing, EU diplomats said, teeing up an eleventh-hour showdown with U.S. President Donald Trump.

Then explain the Boris landslide GE victory, a few months back, if folk found out about your Brexit lies AFTER the referendum...And please don't come back with anything to do with Corbyn......

Two points.

1) Whilst a 50 seat majority is a landslide; remember that only 43.8% of voters actually voted for the Tories. Add on the other parties who supported Johnson and his Withdrawal Agreement and you still wont get above 50%.

Remember, too, that while Labour's share went down by 7.8%, the Tories only increased by 1.2%.

2) The main thrust of the Conservatives campaign was getting Brexit done via Johnson's withdrawal agreement. Indeed, he only called the election because he could not get that agreement through Parliament any other way!

But it seems we were conned by Johnson yet again, because he now metaphorically wants to cut that agreement into squares, punch a hole in one corner and send it to Brussels with a note attached "Bogs for the use of!"

Boris had time to read it all properly while he was recovering - in the bog probably - which is where it should stay, until finally flushed.

Might need to give it a prod or two though.
