I need to reroute the last 2m of the cable that runs from the meter to the consumer unit, before it enters the house. Cable is currently in yellow pvc and underground, but I need to reroute using a connection at 45’ (essentially cutting a corner and shortening the run) to avoid having to extend the cable. I’ve not used that black flexible conduit with the orange stripe before, but is it possible to connect it (waterproof) to yellow pvc ? Otherwise I have to use yellow pvc. Extended section will be concreted over.

Thanks.

Possibly, but to be certain I'd just use more of the same yellow stuff with glued joints.

Best to be safe if it's going to be inaccessible.

I’ve used the yellow pvc as suggested. Before concreting over I’d like to future proof by laying down a short length of conduit that will allow 3 phase supply to be fitted to the house (I’m on single phase now). For 3 phase do all 4 cables run in one conduit ?

To minimise magnetic effects they should all be in a single conduit (or even a single 4-core cable - verify with PEA if acceptable).

If the conduits are very close together you should be fine using the existing two cables plus two more in a new containment.

I know here in my Bangkok moobaan of approx  900 standalone houses with around one-third having 3 phase power that the underground power cabling is run thru one underground pipe from the soi pole to the house main circuit box inside the house.
