Is there a list?

There's several listings, one post here lists some not all and not in the way I would.

Insurance company base their charges in the west on what the bike is etc,  dunno about Thailand.

Motorcycle mags is always what I am use to with there assessment on what catergory the bike is.

As I've said I like the history of bikes and what catergory it is in,  I respect bikers who have a bike they prefer, even though i dislike or would even want their type of bike.

We are all different and as bikers have a choice and a person liking of what we have.

OK so what's the Erzberg Rodeo.

That's a very basic list in this day and age.

5 5 yea. That be more 'Adventure' bike or dual-sport maybe.

Missing:

-Underbone/Wave/Cub type

-Trials bike.

No offence K but all seems kinda silly.

papa prefers red

or black

or both.

I never take offence papa when it comes to bikes you either think in the way I do about bikes or you don't.

Like & said from the start it's a case of whether your interested or not.

Let us know when you have the list that conforms to your way of thinking.

Hyper-bike,  Supersports-bike, Sportsbike, Superbike, Sports-tourer, Dual-purpose,

Street-fighter, Street-bike, Off-road bike, Motocross, Non-peds, Mopeds, Large-scooters, Scooters, Monkey-bikes, minimoto, bicycle.

Scratching the head on 'Non-peds', ????

Feeling ignored as trials bike fan.

" Non-ped" is like Wave type bikes.

Trials bike is an "Off-road bike".

I dunno what event that is but I'd give them a 9.5.  Would have been a 10 if the blonde on the back pointed her toes for the landing

There seems to be a real dearth of small, easily managed trail bikes (road legal "dual-sport") and economical trials bikes.  I still miss the Suzuki TS125 I had in Thailand 1977/78.  I was 5' 6" and weighed 115 pounds.  I'm not a big bike guy.  Like this:

Had a yellow one in Indonesia. Still popular there for trail riding.

I ride my Dyna on the dirt - so it's a dirt bike.

Ride my CRF on the highway - so it's a cruiser

CB650 in the twisties - so it's a sport bike

If I cross a stream - is my bike a boat ?

555

No if it's a road stream I've been over them on my CB400SF,  my Versys 650, my CRF250L and just recently on my Supersports-bike.

None of them needed to float. ????

Reminds me of a similar looking type of bike I borrowed from a mate in UK to pass my test on when I was 16 yr old.

A  BSA 175 Bantam 2 stroke motorcycle, horrible thing.  ????.

Better a Bantam than no bike at all!  My dad has quite a few in the shed down the farm.  Was allowed to borrow one on the condition if I break it I fix it and I didn't take it off the property.  Got good at fixing them!  And in the end 860 acres just got to small so my older brother and I started riding the dirt tracks around the district...but after a while dad found out and we got the severest punishment for our indiscretion...no using the bikes for 6 months.   Dad had to stop riding at 75 years of age...I am 68 in a few weeks and on course to still be riding when I am 80!  ????

Only needed the Bantam to pass the test then I took the 'L' plates off my Panther.

I got asked when will I stop riding motorbikes by people who had given up because they thought they were to old.

I just said when I can't. ????

cb500?

Any better guess out there?

In best case it is a great adventure tourer and 1000 cc. My first bike in Thailand was CB500x, and the next one was a natural step up.

The new Versys 1000.
