Ceramic coating, is it worth it?

I found a place near me who does ceramic coating on motorcycles. They claimed a single coat will last  for at least year, and a double coating much longer.

Single coat is quoted at 1000 baht. The after photos on their Fb page looks good, but of course I'm aware that photos are edited before being posted. I have yet to visit the shop.

 

Will this really help protect the bike's paint and  from scratches? Is it really worth it? Should I bother?

Think of it as RainX for paint work. 

 

I'd rather spend a couple of hours hours polishing while drinking 1000 baht's worth of beer, but each to their own.
