Immigration police in Hat Yai, Songkhla, in the far south of Thailand became suspicious after a check-up on a guest house.

There they found a Thai employee called Chartree who said he had been persuaded by a guest at the address to open a bank account and let him use it.

The man was black skinned said Chartree, as reported by Naew Na.

This turned out to be Mr Khutlang from Lesotho who was promptly arrested for being an illegal immigrant and using someone else's electronic card.

In another room at the guest house was a man who identified himself as "Malagasi" - it was subsequently discovered that he was in fact 19 year old Osuchuwu from Nigeria.

He was aided and abetted by a Thai woman called Jariya who had rented a room for him at the end of June.

After a warrant was obtained both Osuchuwu and Jariya were arrested in Patong, Phuket.

All those four arrested are mixed up in a so-called "Romance Scam", said Naew Na who were reporting on the latest arrests by Thai immigration at IB HQ in Bangkok.

But that is Thais shafting Farangs, a totally acceptable practice and highly recommended among locals. The comment was about Thais shafting Thais, reprehensible to say the least ????

You never hear of Thai's who are involved getting done for it

Busted another African love scam gang? Ok, time to let in the next gang of Africans! This has been going on for years, have'nt they (Thai Immigration)  learned anything? ????

I have so missed vinyl boards and pointing sticks ????

Seems the fellas from these countries have one set skill of occupation in Thailand. I can’t think of seeing any other article associated with them other than arrest for scamming . ????

Be fair, they are probably upset at being described as 'witch-doctors' by local plods
