Just guessing, and IN MY OPINION, but say hello to lockdown and the end of the economic recovery. The US can join other western countries economically destroyed, like the UK.

History indicates otherwise. During the Spanish Flu cities that where handled things more aggressively performed better than those that didn't in the aftermath.

Thailand did a PROPER lockdown nationwide. Yes, it hurt, but we got the virus contained to a manageable point. The US never did that (muh FREEEEEEEDOMS!) and as a result the virus is now running rampant. Biden is already laying the groundwork to approach the problem as an adult. He will listen to Dr. Fauci (whose job is now safe) and you will see it mitigated properly, rather than be ignored/denounced.

So you are in favor of criminals being set free?  Why not let the courts decide?

If you actually knew anything about the Flynn case you would not be rushing to call him a criminal.

Assange should also be pardoned but that is not possible because he has not been convicted. The DOJ could withdraw their case though.

If the US has President Harris, things will be just fine. She was picked specifically because she could step in at anytime if need be. She is infinitely more intelligent than 45, understands the world, draws in actual experts, instead of the caddies and poolboys and dilettantes 45 hired (Scarvino and a guy in a sub-section of HUD).

Perhaps some people don't like her because she's Black and Indian, and a woman. Those dinosaurs will just have to get used to a world where everyone has opportunity and where no race or ethnicity has any inherent privilege. Yes, it's tough on incompetent types who fear competition because they know they are not up to the task of competing fairly, but that is the world today, and such people have no choice but to deal with it.

She is brilliant.

I think the prosecutors who quit because of Barr's interference might know something about the case.

The country and the world will enjoy. In fact, celebrations have broken out around the world and certainly around the US.

Imagine, the US will again put science over myth, superstition and willful ignorance. The US will tackle the pandemic and try to clean up the horrific medical and economic mess left by 45. Growth will return. Respect for the US will return. The US will rebuild the alliances that contributed to the enormous post-WWII growth. Children can look up to the President again. Constant lying from the Oval Office will stop.  Mothers and fathers won't have to make up excuses about the POTUS' bad behavior and childishness.

It was said as a slogan when Reagan came to office, but today it is absolutely true:  "It's morning in America". The long national nightmare ends right here, right now.

Nothing wrong with a bit of optimism. And if the world becomes a better place, I'm all for that. Only time will tell.

With regard to the pandemic, I suspect that by the time Biden has new curtains up in the Oval Office it will already be on a downward trajectory anyway.

According to many Trump supporters' predictions, it's been 5 days since Democrats have even raised the issue of the fake pandemic.

On your point about "wilful ignorance" the following is from a White House advisor and shows that trump just didn't care, or was too dumb to understand what his advisors were saying...

"White House insider Olivia Troye reveals what happened as Donald Trump dealt with the Covid-19 pandemic

A former White House insider and COVID task force member has revealed a series of failures from Donald Trump at the beginning of the deadly coronavirus pandemic……

Former Homeland Security adviser to Vice President Mike Pence and COVID task force adviser since day one, Olivia Troye, described the White House under Donald Trump as a "reality show" and revealed that in the early days of the pandemic, Trump was warned that COVID-19 would be "worse than the flu", "more contagious" and potentially deadlier than any virus outbreak the world had seen before. She told 60 Minutes Australia that Trump, upon hearing the warnings, chose to "downplay" the virus from the very beginning and that due to his attitude, "too many lives to count" have been lost across America. Trump was "unwavering" in his determination to undermine doctors and counteract the task force's response to the growing pandemic behind the scenes, she said.
