Please show links where "Armed" Trump supporters are confronting folks celebrating Biden's win. I've had CNN on now for 2 hours and not a word.

Just one of many instances across the country.  Didn't you see the armed guys outside the building in Phoenix?

One Trump backer carries a rifle while another holds a baseball bat outside the Oregon State Capitol on Saturday.

It is what it is - Fabulous news.   Decency has beaten hatred and lies.   On a personal note, a big thank you to this forum’s liberal members.

Sadly, a tough race. I cannot believe how many of his base actually exists. That country is so divided. It will take decades to recover a sense of civility.

But, answer this. If everyone is so high on Biden right now, and not just high because of their hate for Trump, why was a basically a huge underperformer in much of the primary? He was almost universally ignored, which was scary given his name recognition. But, now that he's won, he is the greatest. People are just happy because they hate Trump. Biden is in no way a strong, admirable candidate, and people know it.

Another I-am-not-a-Trump-supporter-but...

Sure. I believe you. But just to reassure me, can you produce some of your posts that were highly critical of Trump?

As a matter of fact, I do.

Trump supporters protest at Arizona voting center while ballots are tallied

In argumentation, probably best not to pose questions you don't know the answer to.

Not to mention those many of us conservatives (both within the USA and outside) who recognise and oppose the racist, self centred, narcissistic, authoritarian neofacism of Trump

which is still alive and kicking. A state of mind which is summed up by the way that protestors in Arizona, outside the counting centred and the courts, turned up carrying guns. I'm pleased decency has won. I am concerned at the trouble which the loser will stir up.

Yes of course, and thank you for correcting me.

A big thank you too to the very many decent conservatives who have opposed Trump, his lies and his hate baiting.

Where's the video of the happy faces? We'll see the same video in a few weeks after the trials....i can't wait. Let the president of the United Scam Artists have his last moment now.

I'm a conservative.  Ala Buckley.  Not like today's crazy conservatives.  Conservatism has gotten a black eye the past decade.

So you don't read any news source other than TVF?  Really?  You can get a variety of news sources from here in Thailand.

You either have liberal news outlets who paint one picture or conservative who paint another. Very seldom do we have the truth. "My fellow Americans" ahahaaa

Winner hasn't actually been confirmed yet.  Just the press are saying Joe won.  A lot of suspected election fraud going on.  Need to wait until litigation has completed and the result has been certified.

Need to wait for official result.

Edit: If you're so sure that Biden has won fairly, you should be fine for a recount and full investigation into possible voter fraud.  If you have a problem with recounts or investigations into voter fraud, then you probably don't care about democracy and only care that Trump lost.

I fervently pray, that the world can celebrate on the first anniversary of this great happening in November, 2021

It's been amplified the past 4 years.  Seems this BS started with Obama being elected.  Racism at it's worst.

Nah.  This will drag out for about a month.  Multiple court cases coming.

He was disliked by the more liberal wing of the Democrats because he was too moderate for them. That's all. As for not admirable or strong, you wouldn't happen to be a Trump supporter, would you?

I am actually very happy for you. If you love Biden and he is all you hoped for that is great. I just happen to think he is a corporate backed candidate, who was extremely hawkish on past wars, and there is going to be more of the same. I know my mom is absolutely thrilled right now. I don't necessarily tell her this, but as I have been saying, her exuberance is more about Trump losing. She went from not even knowing Biden exists during the primary, to thinking he is the second coming. It is all anti Trump filled emotion. Just my opinion but that is how I see it.

Yes but still it have been quite close races before, but the retoric have changed with Trump, the lies have changed with trump, and the false news and conspirecy high up in the ranks have changed, thats the difference.

To my mind, Obama acted like a human and a president, far above any other president before him. I cant speak for his politics, but as an human, he appealed far more to me than any other before.

Being a potus in Usa, cant be easy,

Yes.  The dancing in the streets is for Trump losing, they don't know/care about who they elected or what he will do for their country.

Seems like a win for their "team" but a loss for democracy.

Fair enough that the pedophile thing is a bit of a smear based on Biden's inappropriate behavior with children, but the corruption and dementia thing is undeniable.

I couldn't disagree more. People like the fact that he is one of the people. He has many struggles to overcome from a stutter, to losing half of his family in a car accident, to failed bids as president. The fact that he was ignored at one point in the primaries just shows his strength in character to keep fighting.

I think people see him as a decent man who is smart enough to get the best and smartest around him to do the job.

He and Kamala's speech were unifying and refreshing and had a bit of heart and soul. Something not seen for four years.

This should do wonders for the economy of the Champagne region, good luck to them, they need it right now.

There are much stronger knocks on Biden. He basically plagerized famous leaders in many of his speeches. This is sociopathic behavior. Of course, this didn't get reported by the media because he is a corporate backed candidate.

I mean, our president copied speeches of other leaders. What does that say about someone who knows he is speaking to a huge audience. How could one think he could get away with that? Even if you think you will get away with it, how is it ok?

That has been widely reported by both CNN and Fox. That was in 1988. He made mistakes. People can learn from mistakes. I think there's worse mistakes than finding inspiration from other speeches.

He's not perfect. He doesn't pretend to be.

It's interesting you focus on a lie in the last century but Trump has 1000's and 1000's and you don't discuss that in such detail.

Well, we'll see if he makes it through the whole four years, if he is confirmed as winning.

I'm not sure how they can keep him in a basement or away from media if he is actually president.  I guess he will either find a new lease of life somehow, make it through four years of being bumbling and doddery but somehow it gets ignored, or he'll have to step down at some point due to ill health.  The right will only be able to say "I told you so", nothing will ever come of it.

We'll just have to wait and see.

Where is this coming from? Give him a chance. You're sounding like a sore loser.

"Finding inspiration" lol.

You think that copying speeches is a forgivable mistake at these levels. Ok, fine. But I just have much much higher standards than that... I wont accept a candidate that says word for word what others have said in a sad attempt to gain popularity from past powerful speeches. What could drive such a person to do this? Thinking they can't inspire with their own words perhaps?
