I don't have a manhole as I am not that way inclined! 

My girlfriend with on the other hand has one and is (I hope) keeping  it nice and warm just for me!

  • You can use a piece of old motorcycle tyre or inner tube. Pay someone to cut three or four pieces, lift the manhole and place the pieces so that they protrude slightly above the level of the road.

  • Remove them!

  • ...if all else fails, get someone to tack weld the covers in place. two or three welds per cover should keep it from moving  ????
