As legal blitz flounders, Trump protesters back false election claims

Among 45's people, there isn't even the slightest attachment to reality. That may be the guy's lasting legacy: reality is what you claim it to be.  kellyanne gave us the term 'alternative facts'. rudy gave us the line 'truth isn't truth'. Both are Orwellian.

45's latest press sec, ostensibly a govt employee paid by the US Taxpayer, tweeted:

"More than one MILLION marchers for [45] descend on the swamp..."

Park Service estimated the peak total crowd at 11,666, roughly 988,334 short of the "MILLION".

That the press sec isn't embarrassed by her obvious foolishness and lies is another mark of 45: people caught up in his orbit willingly disgrace themselves. That stain will be with her for life.

  • – Now that Donald Trump’s “Million MAGA March” only has a few thousand people at it, he’ll probably demand a recount of that too.

Lets not forget that over 70,000,000 Americans still voted for him - after experiencing him for 4 years. Almost unbelievable.

  • Trump golfs and stirs up hatred whilst Americans die in their thousands. Some weird sort of legacy!

Problem is with biden as president the media won't be as critical in scrutinizing his every move as they have been for Mr Trump so finding a news source worthy of this forum maybe difficult.

Probably because there'll be far less to criticize!

I think the estimate runs to about 50000. Almost none wearing masks.

Actually I was in error about the number. It's more like 10000. But what they lacked in numbers they made up for in selfisness: most didn't wear masks.

Exactly. Just on volume of lies alone (not to mention constant gaslighting) Mr. Trump has set a record that will likely never be beaten. The world has never seen lying like that. I guess he can add that to his list of so called accomplishments.

He is somewhat like Mugabe was lies and bullying

Relax. On Jan 20th we will know who the president is.

You like to say that. Just like you seem to think the covid figures are a media and democrat conspiracy.

The point is that if Trump was just quietly being intransigent that's one thing. But if his incendiary tweets about fraud and stolen elections  don't result in violence it will just be good luck rather than for a different reason.

So far though the protesters seem pretty relaxed. Maybe they know deep down it's all just a bit of silliness.

What I'm saying is biden will be protected a bit more by the news.

That will to a certain extent be true if by "news" you mean most major news organizations. Of course, trump has had only himself to blame since from day one he went out of his way to make an enemy out of all of them except Fox. In fact, he specifically labelled them "the enemy". You reap what you sow, som nam naa and all that good stuff.

Besides, that "goodwill" will evaporate slowly as the stench of the trump "presidency" fades away.

'Million MAGA March' Pro-Trump Protest Clowned for Underwhelmingly Low Turnout

"Despite some Trump supporters trying to tout an astonishing turnout for the demonstration, videos and pictures prove that the crowd looks like it barely had over 5,000 people in it, not the "one million" that they are reporting."

So, that's a good thing, right?

President Trump is like a Alabama tick[very hard to remove] mainly when he feels he has been cheated on. This has to be resolved no matter what party you belong to. Fair elections is for the good of all.

Not necessarily, it's very likely another opportunity for virus spreading. About 90% of the marchers shown in the link are not wearing masks.

It's a real shame the virus is not selective for stupidity.

Many cast their vote against the democrats which is different from voting for Mr. Trump. It may be hard for a non American to understand that the democrats scare folks.

Are you talking about the clowning or the fact that "the march mostly consisted of the hardcore Trump zealots and others selling racist paraphernalia."*

It is being resolved. trump's silly lawsuits are being dismissed by the courts left and right. Fair elections are certainly for the good of all, as you correctly point out, and we've just had one.

Oh, and I like how you compare trump to an Alabama tick; very annoying, disease carrying and completely useless.

It really is time for Donny to take his toy and leave the big sand box.

Err I mean it is time for Mr. Trump to act like an adult , instead of a 4 year old,

and go back to being a private citizen.  I have never seen an adult in politics

act this childish ever in my 70 years of life. I will not miss big Mike, or the bubbly

blonde woman as well. The amount of seats won by Mr. Biden is far more than

enough to show that he is indeed the winner of this election.

Geezer

Claiming that the situation has to be resolved is in effect supporting the contention of Trump and others that the election was tainted by fraud. There is no good evidence of this. What's more, once the vote is resolved in favor of Biden, Trump supporters won't accept the results if Trump doesn't. There will always be some conspiracy theory or others that they will subscribe to.

As I tip-toe through these these threads I (????????) remain firmly of the opinion that the bias seen online bears little resemblance to what appears to be happening in the real world.

Whats more unbelievable is that the Democrats couldn't find someone better than Biden.

I suspect a lot of those voted along party lines rather than for Trump or saw voting for the alternative even more depressing.

Unfortunately even though the Democrats have one the popular vote and the presidency they have lost a lot of political power. The GOP have won seats in the house, will likely keep the senate and have stuffed the judiciary with their own people. I'm sure Biden has a lot of good policies but getting them to come to fruition will be either impossible or an uphill battle. Trump's supporters are like turkeys voting for thanksgiving but GOP leaders will be rubbing their hands with glee, there is money to be made with Trump. He needs to be exposed in court for the criminal that he is but I doubt that even this will convince his gun toting sheep.

Totally agre.

BTW still waiting to see his tax returns...

What astonishes me about statements such as yours is how little attention is paid to where the candidates stand on the issues.

The Untied States is a beacon of election honesty and fairness and shines for the hole world to see and admire.
Countries around the world wish they had fair elections like the US.  Then these maga crazies mock the elections because there criminal president got his butt kicked in free fair elections.

I have to say that number does not inspire a lot of confidence in me, nor probably from any normal people who have the ability to think for themselves rather than be influenced by this huckster.

Most nations in developed economies have honest elections.  In most of these nations electoral districts are decided by experts known as psephologists. Thanks to the rightwing Supreme Court in the USA, gerrymandering and defacto racial discrimination has been given the green light. So while the counting is honest, the playing field as actually tilted to the right.

I am not a Biden fan and I am not American. But I see the "attraction" from him. He is boring, steady, middle ground. In a way I think that is what the USA needs now. Compared to i.e. Bernie, Biden will have a chance to unite America - if he tries.
