When to eat bananas
Frozen bananas. I thought I was the only one. I keep peeled frozen bananas at the ready, for when I have a hankering for ice cream, but dare not eat it. -

British Family Seeks Aid to Bring Injured Traveller Home from Thailand
I bought a 2 month medical coverage from SMIP, a Thailand based company. The coverage was for up to 400,000 baht. and cost me about 350 dollars Canadian. I had a heart attack and the hospital costs were over 350 thousand baht, so I was very happy that SMIG approved my claim. This British guy could have done the same, so I have no sympathy or plan to not support his problem. I hope his family can gather the money he needs to get back to the UK, or if he recovers, he can maybe go to a temple and become a monk to get support for food and lodgings for the rest of his stay in Thailand. -

Sole proprietorship in Thailand?
Getting prepared for our move from the UK to Thailand and so researching the best way to operate my business in Thailand. Any advice would be really appreciated. I'm currently a UK operating Sole Trader that is UK VAT registered. When I move to Thailand I will continue to sell my products in the UK and would obviously remain VAT registered. As my UK income will be taxable in Thailand, I believe I must fill in a tax return each year. I'm wondering if I should be thinking about registering a limited company or just continue on the sole trader/proprietorship basis. What would be the benefit of the ltd company in my position and what difficulties would I possibly have with either route? Just for clarity my wife is Thai so I would be able to find the 51% ownership required and also I would not be selling in Thailand or anywhere else but the UK. Thanks -

Zelensky - what possessed you?
Yep, the West did nothing in 2014 when Putin took Crimea. Obama did a few trivial sanctions, and Europe was their usual feckless selves. Putin is not leaving Ukraine unless he is forced out. Who is willing to provide the boots on the ground to remove Russia from Ukraine? Ukraine is outmanned. Putin has no issue spending people to their deaths for his cause, and Putin knows the West has weak knees.
