Coronavirus vaccines: Will any countries get left out?

Health experts say the only solution to the coronavirus pandemic is a global one.

There have been more than 55 million cases of the virus confirmed around the world and more than 1.3 million deaths. Many hopes are pinned on a vaccine as a solution. But there are concerns that poorer nations could get left behind.

We have spoken to the experts about the main concerns that lie ahead and whether efforts to come up with a fair system will actually work.

I think Pfizer already did some vaccine studies in Africa a few years ago, so they have the logistics for it. Look it up

If Thailand is left out at the beginning it is not a big problem since there is (almost) no Corona anyway. So vaccinations are more important in countries where Corona is a bigger problem.

The Pfizer and Moderna are prohibitively expensive for many countries. The Astra Zenica, if ok, will be sold at cost price + 20%, $5 I believe.

The GSK vaccine is reported to be costing $10. Even with 70% effectiveness and easy to store the AstraZenica will be the most cost effective way to go for many countries. Thailand has only signed up for this one.
