That quotation you ascribe to me is not mine. It’s the OP’s

Just have to ask:  what does having or renting a truck have to do with labor quote?

How do you suspect the workers ("his team") and materials get there?  Who carries the welding machine?

Here, the workers get there on motorcycle, the material is delivered by the merchant, and the welder comes on a side-car.  Still don't see why that should factor into a quote but there you go.  Cheers.

...and I didn't even mention any overheads or overtime or social fund or... Still in Issaan there are no tollway fees?

It is not the price that matters its the quality of the job that will still be there when  you are long gone and materials that do not rust.

Th OP is supplying materials, so his choice.

Whether or not he supplies the materials, he will still need a BOM, yes?

Kinds screwed up a bit. the workers made the spaces too big.

The worker says any thinner it will blow down, I disagree.

I'm going to buy 1inch strip to put in the centre space.

Does this sound OK?

Put a wider strips on the far side, that way you have privacy and style, and allow the wind through.

I don' see any problem with the gaps, they look evenly spaced and this is the recognised style of mounting Shera boards to make a fence.

If you wanted more privacy you should have told your builder and he could have made the gaps smaller, but your frame would have been too high.

Hope the wall is strong enough.

He suggested 2", I said 1/2". He said the wind would knock it down, compromised on 1" but I never thought it would look like that. I bought some more shera wood(3") and am putting it on the other side.

It looks considerable better than the existing wall...

Happy now, going to get my kids to paint a beach or mountain scene on the wall ????

Everything cost 12k for 30 metres.

Fair enough, although personally i would buy the same size to put on the other side, but staggered, will look much better i think, but obviously cost a bit more.

You might let then practice with a rake first.....

I hope those trees don't knock the fence down before the wind can get it...
