Sanook reported that police and rescue services were called to the Mae Klong river after some locals heard a man crash into a jetty next to a temple.

The accident happened in Lakha sub-district of Damnoen Saduak, Ratchaburi.

Phoonsak, 44, was retrieved along with a 600,000 baht brand new jet-ski. CPR was given to no avail and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Blood was found on the jetty support.

A pick-up and trailer for transporting a jet-ski was found on the shore.

It is believed that when returning to the jetty the rider crashed. He was probably new to using such a machine.

If new he didn't know you cannot turn without the throttle. At the last minute couldn't figure out why it was going straight when he turned the handlebars?

Should have bailed before the machine hit the jetty. Easy to say but but...

Rip.

New jetski and the brakes failed !

Many here would be used to driving a vehicle with no brakes......but obviously not a 200hp jet ski like this poor fellow did! Insane!

Yep, a buddy bought a new Sea Raider 90 HP runabout jet boat.  Fun little thing.  But then he found out it wasn't good for fishing or puttering about and docking was difficult.  He soon sold it at a great loss.
