That’s why we left! EU punishes Ireland supply chains in bid to exert full Brexit pressure

Due to the section of the agreement which refers to the rule of origin for items, businesses and exporters are stopping or reducing the delivery of products to Ireland. Despite Ireland being a member of the EU, rule of origin laws dictate any product must originate in the EU or UK to avoid receiving a full tariff.

Customers in Europe hit by post-Brexit charges when buying from UK

“We bought a €47 [£42] shelf from Next for our bathroom,” said Thom Basely, who lives in Marseille. “On the morning it was supposed to be delivered we received an ‘import duty/tax’ demand for over €30, like a ransom note. It came as a complete surprise.”

My point is we have basically knackered ourselves as  place to do business from.

It makes no sense to have a UK participant in the  supply chain, because of the extra paperwork and customs duties.

We are going to lose more jobs and tax revenues because of Brexit.

With Brexit done, reality dawns that frictionless UK-EU trade is no more

Seven hated supertrawlers have just been licensed to pillage UK waters – is Boris serious?

BREXIT is done, apparently, and the Prime Minister on Sunday finally revealed what ‘taking back control' of our waters means to him, telling Andrew Marr that we will be able to "ban these huge Hoover trawlers" which are destroying our oceans now that we have left the European Union.

....However, words are cheap, and the Prime Minister’s words on Sunday are undermined by the decision to grant licenses to at least SEVEN supertrawlers so they can continue fishing in the UK’s protected areas this year.

You are correct words are cheap This article states we have multiple potential breaches across different EU countries of the Withdrawal Agreement rights of UK beneficiaries

Now, one day after the end of transition, we have multiple potential breaches across different EU countries of the Withdrawal Agreement rights of UK beneficiaries.

Fishing fury: Boris eyes supertrawler BAN in UK - but sparks panic from British fishermen

A POST-BREXIT ban on supertrawlers from British waters could be challenged by fishing leaders amid fears the move would damage the UK industry while doing little to protect the seabed.

The Government is understood to be considering a ban on the massive vessels which are typically more than 330ft long and have mile-long nets which catch hundreds of tonnes of fish a day. Boris Johnson has already stated he wants to stop the supertrawlers plundering the fishing stocks of the British coast and has ordered officials to examine ways of doing so while sticking to the terms of the post-Brexit trade deal.

You can't refuse to give fishing licenses on the basis that Chris from Greenpeace doesn't want the license issued

Boris Johnson has already stated he wants to stop the supertrawlers plundering the fishing stocks of the British coast and has ordered officials to examine ways of doing so while sticking to the terms of the post-Brexit trade deal.

So he just have to refuse the licenses ...(If not given already ..????) ...easy peace of cake ... let see what go happen ...????

Matter solved then ....

I think it is rather early to have any news about what concrete impact the absence of the U.K. financial contribution will have on the daily life of the man in the street in the E.U..

I suppose there is also no news yet about what concrete benefit the man in the street in the U.K. will have from this spare money.
