Grease slammed as ‘rapey, racist and homophobic and should never be shown on TV again’

ICONIC '70s movie Grease has been slammed as “rapey, racist and homophobic” by woke snowflakes as they demand it is “never shown on TV again”. 

 

The hit musical starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John was shown on Boxing Day on BBC1, and after revisiting the film many viewers felt it was out of date and hadn’t aged well. 

 

Grease is the story of boy meets girl with a few coming of age lines and stolen cars thrown in for good measure. 

 

It’s ultimately a fun, feel-good movie with a plethora of songs that stick in your head for absolutely ages.

And the Wizard of Oz is heightist, stupidist, cowardist, (flying) monkeyist, and includes terribly biased portrayals of women of magick.

I never was a fan of the movie, too sickly & I don't like musicals anyway, but I have to say that I've never read such a pile of codswallop as this. ????

I have always thought it  was  just  cheesy! And the  music  was  irritating ! But if the pc  brigade want  object let them do it by not watching !

And I thought those woke snowflakes never watch TV. They don't have to buy the DVD or watch it on YouTube or Netflix or whatever. And if they are going to ban that movie I am sure there are thousands of other movies which are, from a current snowflake view, not much better. I.e. all those James Bond movies with his sexist behavior with Moneypenny...

This re writing of history and applying todays wonkiness to yesterday's great events, movies, people and TV is driving me crazy.  The millennial generation needs to face up to reality and stop trying to rework the past in their own wonkiness.  They are, as a generation, quite a depressing lot. and in my view, quite lost.   

Yep. While they are at it they should also ban that controversial movie, the Sound of Music. Such provocative songs as "16 going on 17", "climb every mountain" and "my favourite things", not to mention "the lonely goatherd". With that floozy Maria corrupting all the nuns and masquerading as a children's nanny. The PC safeguarding CP brigade would never allow that these days...
