Neither would I mate.

Winter in the UK is beyond grim.

It's abysmal.

Try growing up in rural northern Canada as a kid I had to walk to the school bus on a frozen road in ice and snow.

Never ever going back , I would never want to leave the house, if I could afford one that is. Sure the cost of living has gone up here over the years like everywhere but everything/one is taxed to the max...

I had a lay over in Toronto once.

Landed in the middle of February.

It was -36 outside.

Still nicer than a UK winter mate ????

canada. and no your british winters are a pathetic joke compared to back home. you are silly if you believe a little bit of cold rain can compare to what we go through.

I would rather have freezing cold winters covered in ice and snow than miserable wet and wind with grey skies any day of the week!

At least you lot know what you are getting.

and can dress accordingly.

The cold spell is better if take away the wind chill factor...  the weather forecast on my phone said  10 degrees c  in  West of England and   12 degrees  c  in Buriram yesterday early morning

Hate it. I came to Thailand to be warm not bloody freezing.

Also the heater in my fish tank is on constantly keeping my Discus at 30c sending the electric bill up.

Bloody cold 25 km south of Chiang Rai, all the villagers have fires going. The GF and I are delaying a bonk until it's a bit warmer.

For 15 years I have been contemplating buying a heater, but didn't bother.

Ordered one from Lazada yesterday !

sod the heater mate.

Grab an old metal bin, fill it full of wood and you are good to go!

an oil drum would be better if you can get your hands on one..

great for a few drinks and a sing song :drunk:

We're the kind of people that don't like it under blankets or with clothes, I think the heat output would be less than the cold input.

The pleasures of anticipation.
