The coronavirus is here to stay, but once most adults are immune — following natural infection or vaccination — the virus will be no more of a threat than the common cold, according to a study published in the journal Science on Tuesday.

Just need to reach herd immunity with the jabs.  70% of the population or so?

Then yes, it will become like the Spanish flu.  Still with us, but no longer deadly.

According to worldometer we are currently at 1.3% of the global population have been infected with even less vaccinated and we will have to see how the vaccines go outside of clinical trials and what the real world effects will be.Although the original Spanish flu may no longer be deadly the variants of it's descendants is still deadly.

Actually you're wrong twice. The covid19 virus is very different from the influenza virus. Nor is it yet like a common cold virus.
