Not correct, those people's medical records, including vaccinations, are stored in the hospital/doctor's records. So if/when they need proof of vaccination they can get it easy.

They really need their heads seeing to, absolute imbeciles. Who on earth is going to risk travelling for a holiday in this current situation? The rules in other countries are changing everyday, you travel out to this lunatic run asylum, you cannot even be sure you can get back home. However, we all expect these luxury "Detention Centres" will be booming soon with the influx of the "Predicted" 10 million tourists for this year...what was that going passed my window....was that a flying pig? I expect that if the numbers don't show up TAT will simply revert to alchemy and start turning pigsh#t into Gold.

Regarding Chinese tourists:  If anyone is silly enough to think that the Chinese would suddenly flock over in huge numbers, think again.  The government in China will not allow that, period.  Not right now.  

They are going to shutter the world's #2 economy because they want people to go lay on a beach?  There is simply no way this is going to happen.  Furthermore, Chinese people would be in big trouble if they started going through loopholes - and they know it.  Big trouble.

They've sure come up with some dandies so far. Tourists can come and learn yoga and how to make green chicken curry while in quarantine, they can watch Thai rock bands performing outside their quarantine hotels, and when they get out of quarantine they can have a ride on the choo-choo train to Hua Hin....but that one's probably off the menu now as it'll pass right through ground zero of the latest covid outbreak.

with Pacific Cross. They tested positive upon arrival in Bangkok and  were hospitalized.  Pacific Cross either didn't pay or

paid 50% max. These girls had no money.  All covid bills should be sent to communist China.

As far as I am concerned, Thailand is finished as a tourist destination.  There are a number of other countries one can enter

and stay without all the onerous and expensive requirements of this Thai gov.

Everything from Chiang Kong, to Songkran, is closed. Ubon to Kanchanaburi...  nobody is going anywhere after the PM said: Just, Stay Home.

 

Shopping in small boutiques to souvenirs... gone. Coffee, bars, brothels and restaurants and many other small SME's.....gone.

 

Tour busses? Any body see a tour bus recently or a cross country train with people in it?  I live next to a set of tracks .....  the trains are empty, everyday. 

 

What? They're coming to experience The Lock Down and Paranoia?  Possibly to see how our system of illegal workers is rife with corrupt government officials.

 

We are not selling anything...... but we will have you arrested for slander or defamation on a travel website!

Thai Immigration and Tourism is in denial, they are deluded too.

 

They have 100,000's of people out of work, 100,000 empty hotels and guesthouses and still they want to over charge farangs for visa and accommodations!

 

Economics is about supply and demand. They have a huge supply and very little demand, that means price have to go down. That is the reality in Thailand until ever Thai is vaccinated. Until then they need to start with cheap backpacker who want to stay 3 months or more.

 

They are deluded into still thinking the rich charter package tourists are coming for 3 weeks and spending 2 weeks in quarantine. Not gonna happen not even for 6 weeks. 12,000 baht for STV and 50,000 baht for ASQ is massively inflated. The economy and prices have DEFLATED as have the economies around the world.

Then of course there are rats, turtles, snakes, dogs, rogue elephants, protected barking deer, leopard etc that are eaten as well in these areas. Most are hallowed creatures, but when it suits them the people still eat them.

Up country, that's outside the snugly urban area are caves and jungle where the wild bat lives. These are essential in most parts of the world for the pollination of flowers on crops and trees and plants so as the world has on ongoing supply of fresh fruit and vegetables and cereal crops.

However one bat, the commonly known 'horse-shoe bat' appears to be the culprit in spreading Sars-CoVi-2 virus.

YouTube has a lot of interesting videos on these markets with one BBC crew filming them not that long ago.

Another good reference is the WHO, called the World Health Organization, they have a lot of data and even statistics on the number of cases of each member country, including deaths, yes 'jomtienisgood' humans have died, didn't you know how filthy humanity is and just how the other (more than half) live?

We are lucky in our Westernization we eat freshly prepared foods that have been certified and strictly controlled.

Don't you think it time China, Thailand and all the other countries urgently stopped these dangerous practices?

You had best make sure you wear a mask, eye protection, disposable gloves, safe distance yourself from the rest of humanity, as it appears your know nothing.

Will be interesting to see comparisons of tourist numbers in the various SE Asia countries now and over the coming months. Perhaps if the Thai authorities see Vietnam tourism racing ahead, they'll make some rapid changes to entry / quarantine requirements for Thailand. Or maybe not...

Either you haven't been here long, or you don't understand Thai economics 101.

This states that when demand goes down, prices must go up to preserve profits.

As I said (again), wait and see - that article is now a month old, so revision is (IMO) likely.

Don't forget that this is (still) a largely unprecedented situation. When I get called, I'm going to take my Yellow / Blue book and ASK for the vac to be logged. If not, it will probably be shown on one's NHS Health Record - here's a screenshot of part of mine:

Sorry, I think I do get it and I agree with what you say re there being a point where enough is enough.

 

What I am saying is that it would take more to tip me over the edge than a 300 baht "surcharge". Being "invited" to stay in an overpriced ASQ hotel would be more likely to do it - or having to pay a Thai company  for unnecessary additional Covid insurance would also do it.

 

The trouble with the Thai mindset is that they don't seem to consider the effect that some of their half baked ideas have - they think of the immediate profit available from current visitors without  considering the profit that they could have  tomorrow from more visitors if their plans/ideas were more "visitor friendly".
