How do u add a working link like the picture below?

It used to work from pasting the url, but now it does not.

Just paste the link. It works for me. Make sure it is on a line by itself. If you paste the link into your post as you are editing it, wait a few seconds and it will change to that media box in the editor.

link pasted- nothing changed.

To share a topic or post you do this.

First click the 3 dots in the top right corner and click share.

Then highlight the link and click copy.

I just tried that twice. It still didn't change to an "image" link, it just stayed as a plain old URL.

Does it need to be done on a PC? I am trying to do it using an Android device.

All you will get is a URL for the topic or post.

If you want to get the link for a image you do a right click on your mouse with the pointer on it. And when on a mobile browser you just need touch the image and you get a popup menu to do it (just checked on my Android tablet).

Not sure, but I think we're referring to slightly different things. I wasn't meaning a link to an image, I meant a link to another forum post that appears as an image of the post, as opposed to a link that is simply the text of the URL.

I often see links like this in other people's posts that are not merely a text link, they appear as an image - there are some in this thread.

If you post a link to a topic with an image in it the image will appear in the post you pasted it into.

For example this I copied a topic link and pasted it in.

That one did show the image. Not sure why it didn't
