Thank you Mr. Trump.

For creating the mess by stopping funding to these countries?  For supporting racist statements and lies against immigrants?  Ok...got ya.

Maybe those $15 per hour jobs aren't being taken because people don't want to increase their exposure to Covid?

Even before Covid. I've got a good story for you.

About three years ago I got a late night phone call on the US number I maintain. Uh oh, family emergency? No, an old manager from a supermarket. I hadn't heard from him in forever. He simply said "Please give me a call, I'm trying to put a schedule together". Meaning he's got a schedule of floor staff to fill, and not enough staff. Meaning he's going down the list of past and present employees, trying to get ANYBODY. Hah! There's certainly work in America for anyone who wants it.

There are a huge chunk of more than 400 policy changes on immigration policies that Trump enacted. It will take time for Biden to reverse most of the more restrictive policies due to long bureaucratic processes or legal challenges from states or groups that oppose the policy shifts. Many policies overlap and will take time to peel them back one by one without overwhelming the immigration system. Any more confusion will only encourage more wave of migrants. Common sense actually.

Trump won Florida on the back of Cuban immigrants who had fled Cuba because they had been part of the Bautista regime (US mafia stooge) where they had controlled prostitution, slave labour and the casinos. I guess their criminality is excused because they vote Republican.

I thought a lot of cuban immigrants were former inmates and patients in prison and asylums who castro released and  sent to the usa in the mariel crisis.

What's wrong with admitting Trump did a smart move by having folks wait in Mexico for their hearing.

Nothing wrong if you think it is fair and humane in stranding 'folks' in dangerous Mexican border towns where they have no meaningful access to due process or legal representation; often living in unhygienic camps and shelters without adequate measures to prevent spread of covid-19.

They tried that in the uk,once an illeagal immigrant actually gets into a country a lot of them just disappear and go under the radar, which is going to cause all sorts of problems in administering the covid vaccine .there are over 1 million estimated illegal immigrants in the uk

Sure there is. The rise in unemployment is entirely unrelated to the huge economic hit the  US has suffered due to  the covid pandemic

Why should US taxpayers support foreign countries

It is a kind of intervention without going to war and to reassert it’s influence abroad. Very much in US dna.

Hopefully he'll open the gates to all Thais who wish to live the American Dream.  I've got a bunch of friends who'd love to go and work, get their residency and a path to citizenship.

Entering unlawfully means they went through no vetting process. It is unlikely those already in the US will be vetted now, although one would hope that those incarcerated for serious crimes will not be automatically granted citizenship.

The actual figure is higher than 11m. The Office of Immigration Statistics at DHS estimated 12m at the end of 2014. More may have entered during the following six years.

But if the crimes they committed were not in the USA why should they be prosecuted? A new life in the states is an opportunity for gang members to start a new life. Let's hope the  USA set an example in creating a world without borders. A world without frontiers.  Biden can go down in history as the person who really opened up America to the huddled, trembling masses.

So if a person is a convicted pedophile in one country then it's ok to move to the US
