Vaccines are quickly averting serious cases of COVID-19 among the most vulnerable members of society, an Israeli healthcare provider has indicated. The full effects of Pfizer’s vaccine are only slated to kick in around a month after the first shot, but data from Israel, home to the world’s fastest vaccination drive, has already shown that there is a stark drop in infections even before this point.

Attracting widespread international interest by sharing early data, Maccabi Healthcare Services reported earlier this month that it has seen a 60 percent reduction in coronavirus infections three weeks after the first shot is administered.

Hurrah! That's impressive, especially in this age group.

But it's not as good at preventing mild cases as first quoted- possibly by a long chalk.

Still, saving lives is what it's all about.

Looking forward to news on private hospitals being ready to jab those (me) willing to pay for the vaccine, compliments of my health provider, and if they don't want to repay my out of pocket expense, albeit it I have it in writing, so be it.

Being in another country means if your not a citizen, your either not on the list or when you do get put on a list, it means you will be at the bottom of that list and will probably have to pay for it ?.
