Popular Post webfact Posted February 16, 2021 Popular Post Posted February 16, 2021 Rayong croissant shop drafts in pretties to help beat COVID-19 slump Picture: Sanook Sanook reporters eagerly hotfooted it to Muang Rayong after a social media post about a new croissant shop. Not surprising really, as the owner had drafted in many of her well endowed friends to promote her wares. Everyone was a "pretty" or Thai promotion girl. While the shop was advertised as "minimalist" there was nothing mini about these sweet pastry packing pals. Unlike most of the croissants, there was little hiding of the filling. Mama Croissant has ten types of delicious croissant with various fillings. Customers can have their picture taken in the shop and clients were advised that they wouldn't be disappointed. It's next to a 7-Eleven and easy to find being located....by a school. They also promised ample parking. Sanook found Pitchaporn Thammawithan, 30, the owner of the shop. She pointed out that none of the ladies in the promo were her. She explained that she used to be an emcee in Bangkok but Covid put an end to that. After being out of work for three months she asked her mum what she should do next. Mum, being an expert baker, suggested a cake shop but that was soon rejected in favor of something newer and more original. Croissants - with that very special filling...... Popular Post petedk Posted February 16, 2021 Popular Post Posted February 16, 2021 What's the craze with croissants nowadays. My Thai friends give me croissants nearly every day. They order from Ratchaburi, Hua Hin and all over Bangkok trying to find "the best". Most don't use real butter and are pretty crappy. 4 1
