BANGKOK (NNT) - The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has announced that it will begin arranging early jabs for people at high risk of infection from March 15 to 31.

Bangkok governor Aswin Kwanmuang said people aged 50-59 years with chronic respiratory, cardiovascular, cerebrovascular and chronic kidney disease, cancer, diabetes and obesity would be eligible for the vaccine.

He said these vulnerable groups must also live in six Bangkok districts adjacent to Samut Sakhon province-- Chom Thong, Bang Khun Thian, Bang Khae, Bang Bon, Phasi Charoen and Nong Khaem. They can check their eligibility and register to take the Covid-19 vaccine via Line official account “Mor Phrom” (doctors ready) from Sunday.

The governor added that patients who don’t have a smartphone can register by using their relatives’ devices or contact 23 medical institutions [16 hospitals and 7 Public Health Service Centers].
