The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has announced the immediate closure of six fresh markets in Bang Khae district for three days for disinfection, with the possibility that the closure may be extended if the number of people infected with COVID-19 keeps rising.

To date, the number of infections has risen to 224 out of 4,991 people tested between March 11th and 14th. 3,086 were cleared of the disease and results are still pending for 1,681.

People who visited the markets, namely Siriseththanon (formerly Saeng Fah), Soon Karnkha Bang Khae, Kitti, Pasom, Talad Mai Bang Khae and Wonder, between February 20th and March 13th have been asked to come forward for screening, to be provided free of charge, at a mobile lab based in a public park at the side of The Mall Bang Khae.

6% rate, not good and still 1681 to get results, lets hope they can nip it in the bud.

Yes lets hope they can nip this in the bud, although I have my doubts, Bang Khae was announced as a red zone back on 3rd January. Then in Feb that was eased and no more covid cases being found.

Is this a new outbreak or just the previous one going undetected until its too late?

6 kids at a school in Ratchaburi have it now.  One of the kids parents had been to the market.

How they have face to report test count!? That is ridiculous low number!

Maybe even less than "Vanuatu" or other really small country!
