The Jet-Ski World Cup 2020 - cancelled last year - has been confirmed as taking place next month.

It will be held at Jomtien Beach from Wednesday 21st April to Sunday 25th April.

It was recently given the go ahead by the CCSA Covid authority.

Ronnakit Ekkasingh, deputy mayor, held a meeting to iron out issues related to the areas used, electrical supply, traffic management, safety and above all Covid-19 safety protocols.

The Thai National Jet-Ski Association has invited participants from 20 countries - they will have to so 14 day State Quarantine, reported Manager.

Crowds will be limited and all visitors will be expected to wear masks, socially distance and wash hands.

In 2019 the event attracted 12,000 visitors with participants from 71 countries.

Note that the name has not changed to 2021 despite being held this year.

Are there any international jet ski pros who are willing to come to Thailand and quarantine for 14 days just so they can compete in a 4 day jet ski world cup? Seriously?

Sure if you asked the TAT, they would say about 6 million

Included in the competition is a contest to determine which jet-ski operator can screw the most out of contestants for a barely-visible blemish on the paintwork.

The contest will be adjudicated by Sgt Terdsak of the local force.

Are they going to be in Jet Ski Quarantine next to the Yachts?

Did the players at the recent badminton events in Bangkok have to quarantine? My impression was that they didn't but I could well be wrong.

If there was no quarantine for badminton, why should there be for jet-skiing? The competitors are easily kept apart from spectators.

before being harangued by the J S mob about damage to the underside of the ski' and that 10k baht would put it right ..

Ronnakit Ekkasingh

Is that Ron or Kit for short ..

Are there any planes to get them to Thailand ?

The Competitors will be allowed to Quarantine aboard their Jet Ski,s, and will be allowed a 1/2 Hour Daily swim for exercise.

Are there any popular beaches where jet-skis are banned?........I find them intensely annoying and would happily pay extra to sit on a beach where they were banned.

I was expecting way more jokes about the jet-ski scams...I will check back again later. Don't let me down TVF posters
