Insurance cost for returning thailand

Featured Replies

Hi

Does anybody know what the cost(approximately)of the insurance in order to come back thailand?

And if you can recommend insurance company.

Thanks

It depends what insurance you’re taking about, and what duration of coverage 1 month 6 month or 12 months, what age are you?

·         Covid 19- minimum $100K coverage ( I paid 14kTHB for 12 months coverage)

·         Visa NON O insurance

·         Any other type of insurance

Can u recommend  a insurance agent?

I’m very reluctant to post links here, I actually got my insurance from TV link

ensure the wording matches the requirments

To allow me to return to Thailand I need to have a

copy of valid health insurance covering all expenditures of medical treatment, including COVID-19 with the minimum coverage of 100,000 USD

As always do some research before sending any money, please protect yourself

Official Covid-19 insurance site HERE.

Official 400k+40k baht health "long stay" insurance site HERE.

If you are looking for the cheapest 400k+40k option, you can select one with 100k or 200k deductible HERE.

Has to be Thai company correct

No, a Thai IO-approved policy from a TGIA-associated insurer is ONLY required when applying at your local Imm Office for the 1-year extension of stay for reason of retirement based on your original Non Imm O-A Visa.

Good info.

When looking for Covid-19 insurance and under 69 years of age, the SafetyWing travel-insurance package < https://safetywing.com/nomad-insurance > includes covid-19 insurance (for 250.000 US $) and on top of that provides decent insurance for ANY accident/illness you might encounter in Thailand, and - depending on your age/nationality - is often CHEAPER than the official but ridiculous TGIA covid-19 insurance.

Also be aware that when flying with Emirates, FREE +100.000 US $ covid-19 insurance is included in your flight-ticket (for 30 days when flying one-way, and covering the full length of your stay when booking a return-ticket).
