I wonder what it's like living on an island that small. Of course the main land is not far away so maybe not that bad. In some sense it might be kind of cool to live on an island for so long. In another, the lack of diversity and options must get to long stayers. Anyone have stories to tell about a long stay on an island?

I have, had lived on Koh Larn off an on, for 10 plus years. I say of and on only because, if I want to keep my pension I need to return home for 6 months. Koh Larn is paradise, amazing people and I miss all them so much.

I  had a Geordie pal ... we used to go deep sea fishing together off Sattahip. I recall he went to live on Koh Larn. He loved fishing and had a small boat I believe. Not for me, but it was what he wanted.
