The latest activities of Thailand's immigration bureau showed that it is not just foreign related crime that the bureau solves.

They are also constantly on the lookout for Thai miscreants of one kind or another - and it appears the famous smart cars (BMWs) are playing their part here too.

The IB site online featured the arrest of two Thais wanted in a murder case and one of illegal work practices.

In the first Prasert, aged 35, was arrested outside the temple of Wat Koh Loi in Sriracha, Chonburi.

He was named in a warrant issued by the court in Phangnga in the south of Thailand on March 17th for murder. He had fled north into the IB's Region 3 jurisdiction.

He admitted they had got the right person.

In the second case information from the Labour Department in Saraburi led to the arrest of a woman they called only "Jaeng" in Suan Phrik Thai sub-district of Pathum Thani.

The name of Ratchanee, 31, was clearly visible in a board she was holding up, however.

She was named in a January warrant for not paying employment fees and not following the labor law in Saraburi.

She was also named in two warrants issued in Thanyaburi and 11 issued in Pathum Thani.

The IB urged the public to keep tips coming in on the 1178 hotline - a number featured on the side of those cars that featured on their vinyl board graphics of these two arrests.

So the normal(?) police are not up to the job ?

No, it's the Smart Beamers doing all this diversification on their own. Immi police just hasn't figured out how to turn that feature off. They tried once a few months ago and instead screwed up online 90 day reporting...

Maybe have them take a look at every contract that is drawn up for every foreigner that teaches in the education system.

Every contract has something that contravenes labour law and yet, the labour office never seems to be able to notice it.

Or maybe this only applies to protection for Thai's. ????
