I don't think I am going to be able to register with the App because I don't have a pink ID card. I understand that some people have been able to make appointments directly with a hospital. Has anyone done this successfully in Bangkok? Is there are list somewhere of the participating hospitals in Bangkok? (Sorry if this is a dumb question. I am very new to Thailand, and I'm still trying to figure out where to find information.) Thanks!

Probably you would have to register with all hospital networks, because is not known which one will have first and what make. Some hospitals send email to existing patients with short form to fill.

But I don't think there is hope for private hospitals to get vax soon, so too early to actively search.

Recently I went to the travel clinic at mahidol university and to the red cross for some 5 vax. So I am registered and hope for priority with info. There are also private travel and vax clinics. Those kind of clinics will also have covid vax for travellers and cheaper, than hospitals.

it appears at present that  it is only the government hospitals that are registering people. Take your pick and try at one.

Probably because the private hospitals still do not know when/if they will receive vaccine. They have not been allowed to purchase it so would have to get it from the government. Government is going to have all it can do to get the public hospitals supplied in time for the start of the vaccine campaign in June (seems to be 7 June as far as I can make out i,.e. first Monday in June - not 1 June).

Unless government again backtracks and lets the private hospitals purchase their own, could be a while before they are an option.

Perhaps I have misunderstood the process, because I haven't been able to get through the registration on the App. My understanding is that after you register, you select an appointment time at a specific hospital.

On other sites, I've read that people who couldn't use the App were able to call a hospital directly and book an appointment that way. But I don't know how to find out which hospitals have appointments.

There are private hospitals on the list as well, but they don't have appointments in the App yet, although they are on the list, and some people have been able to book directly.

Seems like some entrepreneurial types could supplement their income by consulting with foreigners to line up vaccines wherever they're available in LOS.

Especially if they could help you get the vaccine you want...  I can't envision the gub'ment making it easy, at least for a few months.
