Default emoticons still broken?

Featured Replies

I think I saw something on this before but have not seen anything mentioned recently. Since the forum changes the default emoticons show to me as a broken square and the name.

Is this something in the list of things still to be fixed or are they being put out to pasture?

Good question and one that has been asked by forum mods as well, but no answer.

Can you please respond to this?

Taoism: shit happens

Buddhism: if shit happens, it isn't really shit

Islam: if shit happens, it is the will of Allah

Catholicism: if shit happens, you deserve it

Judaism: why does this shit always happen to us?

Atheism: I don't believe this shit

I downloaded the :w00t: emoticon as that is the only one that really matters. w00t.gif.d2b48c81b8b0be9b1929dd8275b3c0dc.gif.cb69185baae7443b9d74bc6dfdbeb0d6.gif

A bit annoying to have to "upload the image" and then insert it into almost every post I make. (I jest, it's not every post.) w00t.gif.d2b48c81b8b0be9b1929dd8275b3c0dc.gif.cb69185baae7443b9d74bc6dfdbeb0d6.gif w00t.gif.d2b48c81b8b0be9b1929dd8275b3c0dc.gif.cb69185baae7443b9d74bc6dfdbeb0d6.gif

It does seem like it's a "lost directory" issue as the system looks like it knows it is supposed to put the emoticon there (as you can see in the first sentence), but can't find the image file.

I think that is/was the same problem with user's profile images. After the "glitch" everyone lost their profile image. All one had to do was upload the image again and the system would display it normally as the image was back in the "default" directory.

Perhaps if the default emoticon images were "re-uploaded" into the system from scratch, they would end up in the "default" image directory where the system normally expects to find them.

Yes can we have a response to the question ?  I miss the good old days.

This is what I get on my screen. It would really be nice to have them back, if possble, even tough I rarely use an emoticon.

Still missing these emoticons, and apologies if answered somewhere else, but any news at all even if to say gone forever?

The default set are working again for me now... :partytime2:
