Will the kids have a choice?

Sinovac has not been tested in kids.

AZ neither, but as of now their is no AZ in Thailand.

AZ is contraindicated in young woman in low-incidence environments,  certainly teenage girls.

China's vaccines have been used on some 250 million people globally.  NO reports of significant deaths or adverse effects.  About like the other jabs.

They are effective and will keep you from dying, or out of the ICU with a tube jammed down your throat.  Pretty good, IMHO.  Especially if that's all you can get.

We'll all be getting boosters in a year anyway due to the variants.

Up to you...Feed the Chinese , as they bully the World buy those MGs and support CCP

The Russians produce Novichok poison and use it to kill dissenting Russians in exile. The most recent attempt was in Salisbury in 2018. Would you accept an injection from the people who use indiscriminate chemical warfare in foreign countries to silence dissent from its own citizens.I would decline Sputnik vaccine made in Russia.

But you trust the Pfizer Biontech, American - German company. From the countries that started endless numbers of wars, including 2 world wars?

The country that brought you X-rays, aspirin and discovered bacteria? Those guys? WW1 started by the Austrians.

Well, it was the Alliance between Germany, Austria-Hungary and Italy in reality...

Choice?

The Covid 19 Czar Prayut got a choice and chose foreign-sourced AZ for his vaccination.

Even though his first choice for foreign purchase for the Thai public (now for Thai Expats too?) was SinoVac.

His choice for domestic manufactured covid 19 vaccine was AZ, to be released in June/July?

Seems "choice" belongs to those with political power.

From the UK press today:

"This morning one minister told Politico that vaccine refusers were now the "absolute principal threat to June 21".

"There is now a debate raging in Westminster as to whether the lifting of restrictions should be slowed down to protect people who refuse to be vaccinated, as well as whether local lockdowns instead of holding back progress nationally"

The indian variant is just kicking off there now, too. And, while cases are low, they are increasing rapidly.

If you want to visit, or stay, in Thailand, the answer is you will eventually have to have the jab. I imagine you won't have to do anything this year, but by next year when the vaccines are rolling off the production lines you will have no choice. No vaccine, no visa (same as any other country in all likelihood).

so you do not even know that covid medicine will be sold soon ?

so funny !

I would not trust my immune system to a virus with 99% mortality rate ????

now if you look at the total Covid mortality rate so far  it around 3.5 million people out of a total world population of 7.8 billion  gives a rate of 0.04%   much more survivable ????????

????

To connect the history of countries with the covid vaccines what they produce is a very strange view.

You would have to stay away from all covid vaccines then.

Germany, Britain, US.... they have all dark sides in the past.

So what's your decision now?????

True!

They can't even enforce most of the laws in the book, I don't think they'll be able to pull this one off.   That said, I'll opt for the Honolulu option if they start to get serious about it.

A nation discovers nothing, Rontgen, born where teh blades are made in Remscheid,Ruhrgebiets NordRhein-Westfalen (part of Prussia at that time, Germany did not exist until 1870) did develop the rays named after him, and Bayer's chemist Hoffan aspirin ,he also knocked a best seelr trade marked as Heoin!

however I attended same collge as the Dutch discoverer of bacteria Leeuwenhoek  in what is today the Netherlands and his time the Utd Provinces.

The Austrians dd declare WW1 but Kaiser Bill started the shooting , WW2of course in 1939 started by attacks on Poland. Despite memorial at Westerplatte false flag and bombing of civilians occured, according to new German histories.

"

On September 1, 1939, German soldiers began their invasion of Poland, triggering the outbreak of World War II. The shelling of a Polish garrison at Westerplatte is commonly believed to be the first shot fired in the war, but the beginning actually happened five minutes prior, according to Deutsche Welle.

At 4:40 a.m., the town of Wieluń was bombed by the German air force, the Luftwaffe, as most of its 16,000 residents slept. There were no anti-aircraft, military, or economic targets of any importance in the sleepy town just 13 miles from the German border. The target of the bombing was civilians."

Of course Hitler despite his Iron Cross in the German Army was an Austrian born in Brunau am Inn in the Inntal.

What Covid medicine do you want? Currently you will have to go to hospital if you test positive to Covid and take whatever medicine they give you.

The choice for vaccines will be whatever has been approved for use in Thailand. Farang will be able to get the current 2 that are approved for free. There will be others down the track you can pay for.

Obviously most farang will go for the Astrazeneca.  The Chinese / Russian vaccines may not get approval in western countries and so might not be much use if you want to travel overseas.
