The National Communicable Diseases Committee has set a target to vaccinate 70% of the population of 11 provinces by August.

They simply can not help making fools of themselves.
Oh well. Can't wait until September to hear all of the excuses and watch the finger-pointing exercises.

Vaccines for the daily double it would seem.

I'll take "Whimsy" for $1000!

Now slowly the truth emerges... 70% of first jabs in only 11 provinces.

Thailand at it's finest.
The Special People in the Special Province get the first shots.

Well done those 11 provinces. May I respectfully suggest that someone checks if the Governor of Chiang Mai is still breathing because he seems to be in a coma and has announced no plans or even a hint of anything constructive. The last we heard from him was weeks ago. Perhaps he needs some oxygen to wake him up, poor thing!

I walked up Thapae Road last week.  The government elite seem to be busy destroying the economy. I'd estimate that 80% of the businesses were boarded up, shuttered, and closed.  Some good friends of ours who had a thriving restaurant business just went out of business last month.

So yeah - the elites have been very busy.  Look.  Everyone has a mask on even in the outdoors!  Bars closed - check. Entertainment venues closed - check.  Commoners muzzled - check.  Schools closed - check.  Malls open - check.
Who needs vaccines.  Everything is running as smooth as silk.

'The government has decided that the second dose of AstraZeneca vaccines will now be administered 16 weeks after the first dose, as opposed to 10 weeks,' reliably reported this morning.

Translated.  They don't have the vaccines necessary to provide first vaccinations for the public no less a second vaccination in 10 weeks.  Don't dismiss the future possibility that 16 weeks may become 22 weeks.

Step 1: Set a goal, claiming it will be achieved.

Step 2: Blame someone, example the delivery did not occur.

Step 3: Repeat step 1.

Six phases of a Thailand vaccine rollout:

1. Enthusiasm,
2. Disillusionment,
3. Panic,
4. Search for the guilty,
5. Punishment of the innocent, and
6. Praise and honor for the nonparticipants.

There is a rumour that the vaccine campaign will be run by Houdini, but are finding top hats and rabbits in short supply.

The Ministry of Health has a new motto:

Per Ardua  ad AstraZenica

With apologies to the Royal Air Force

I am afraid I'll have to rely on this, even though I am not a priority and the Thais won't like it...

Are they riding on the short bus and wearing helmets?

In which way or ways is Thailand ahead of Japan? Links please.

Sorry no links. I don't believe what I read on the news. Trust me, Thailand is well ahead of Japan. I speak to Japanese in Japan nearly every day.

It's not a competition though is it, another country not doing that well hardly helps the situation here, with not enough vaccines and a company which already has reduced it's output forecast for AZ

No, it's not, I was just putting things in focus to the Thai bashers. Japan, one of the world's financial heavyweights is having the same problems as Thailand.

You are welcome to do your own research. I try to  be civil here and never criticize your posts. There is always an 'ignore' button.

I critisize posts that claim thing but have no backup. Basically all you have said is take your word for it.

If you feel the need to criticise please do so. I try to find a link or reference to most of the things that I post and If I cannot, then I usually say so, and why.
