50??

perhaps you could tell us the true number if no measures had been in place ?

Or are you going to guess, just like everyone else, ?

Still more chance of dying going to the shops than from the virus  !

You seem confused.

Would you have the same opinion if you lived in India?

so you think they just wander around without PPE , then go outside and with their families , given the infections ?

Are they not tested , like hospital staff, then made to wear PPE ?

Any numbers of inmates that have died from Covid yet ?

I doubt they have anything more than a mask as PPE. Certainly not the full body kit you see hospital workers wearing

ahh, so your saying that orison i=officers and health workers are allowed to leave the prison and go home, shopping etc, without any testing ?

Im trying to catch up with all the <deleted>, but it just keeps getting deeper

I doubt they get tested each and every day. And if they did, it means they caught the virus some days ago and have been infectious more or less since then. So the test would identify them as positive and then they can self isolate, I guess in a field hospital, but that’s sort shutting the sable door after the horse has bolted.

I forget the numbers, but quite a lot of prison staff are infected, and without proper PPE, one can see why.

I get where you are coming from, these guys are already quarantined from the general public, not many are dying, what’s the big deal?

the problem is the comings and going’s from prisons of people who aren’t prisoners and have minimal protection against the virus. They are the link to the general population.

and the deaths are low, as they are in the general population, but the fewer cases, the fewer deaths. And a single life lost, is still a life. Pretty important if it’s your own that’s at stake.

Looks like Melbourne is going into a 7 day lockdown after nearly 25 cases after an infection was passed from one room to another in hotel quarantine in South Australia. If it can travel from room to room through the air  perhaps they should quarantine outside where one is unlikely to catch the virus.

With the latest flip flop on the registration app this governments incompetence is now a serious risk to the nation's health, if it wasn't already.

Frighteningly it's more concerned about what people post on social media than it is about the virus crisis that has engulfed the country.

Channel 34 this morning just did a story on excess deaths due to Covid, showing a doctor who knows of theses deaths being related to Covid and is calling out the government on the low reported daily deaths, just so they can keep the country open, and for the upcoming tourism plans,  Sad really to see this, even though many of us suspected such.

Unfortunately then given the proven tactics of this regime that doctor who spoke out has not only jeopardised his future career but more than likely also his own longevity.

I agree with the notion that covid deaths are most likely under reported, but Thailand didn't have an excess mortality. Actually they had an under mortality in 2020.

It is a bit early to analyze the data after April 2021, time will tell.

Possibly, it appears more and more doctors are getting fed up with this government as seen with the criticism of the vaccine rollout as well.

Some possible issues with the vaccine causing medical issues is also being pushed aside as well as here is one report, and it is unknown what vaccine was used.

https://thethaiger.com/coronavirus/thai-health-official-dies-a-week-after-being-injected-with-the-covid-19-vaccine

Then there is yesterdays news

Man dies after receiving Sinovac vaccine in Phuket | Thaiger (thethaiger.com)

All while Anutin is claiming the government would never use a substandard vaccine on the Thai people while using a non WHO EUL approved vaccine.  Boggles the mind

The excess deaths data is a bit doggy. I wouldn’t rely on any such data until it has aged for at least a year to iron out all of the errors, regardless of what country is the source.

That’s the problem with excess mortality data, it jumps around a bit for a couple of years until the errors and duplicates are worked out. Someone here posted about big excess mortality in 2020 not that long ago.
