webfact
Picture: Sanook Deputy met commander and RTP spokesman Maj-Gen Piya Tawichai told Sanook that the Tha Kham police had arrested a 53 year old man after a shooting in a taxi outside Big C, Rama 2, west of the Thai capital Bangkok at 7.50 am yesterday. The victim was a 19 year old woman who was romantically involved with the assailant. A citizens' arrest was made before the police were called. A 9 mm gun, ammunition and 10 spent cases were found. The media reported that the assailant had followed his girlfriend onto a bus where an argument ensued. She got off outside Big C and he followed. She tried to get away from him and got into a taxi but he caught up and shot at her multiple times. She died from her injuries. He has been charged with premeditated murder and weapons offences. Sanook surmised that jealousy was at the root of the case. -- © Copyright Thai Visa News 2021-05-27 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow Thaivisa on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates

" The Thai judicial system, the Thai news media, and many TV members seem to be locked into a 'kangaroo court' style of justice. Whether jealousy was or was not involved, whatever happened to fair balanced proper judicial process for all. I'm guessing that if you were subjected to justice by assumptions you would be very angry, and you should be. 2

The guy killed someone and there were witnesses. Doesn't matter what the reason was. Like most Thai males, mentally challenged when it comes to controlling their feelings.

The taxi drivers hearing should be returning next week. Always interesting when no name is given for the assaillant. Usually means he's someone entitled to protection. Will look forward to the pointing and re-enactment. Edited May 27, 2021 by mtls2005

Some years ago, in my wife's village a young man abducted raped and killed a 10 year old girl. He served JUST 7 years of a life sentence and then his family paid out 5 million Baht and he walked free. There is no real 'justice' for victims here. 7

Nkpjed
Just another piece of dog <deleted> with a fragile ego who deserves the death penalty, but sadly will get life and be back on the street to kill again in 7 years. I just don’t understand why there’s hesitancy to put murderers to death. Can anyone honestly tell me this poor excuse of a human being deserves to continue living?
