Pattaya – A group of Thai teenagers from Ayutthaya filed a report to Pattaya police early this morning, claiming they were attacked by a group of Pattaya teenagers who warned the victims not to go to the police and claimed they were not afraid of law enforcement.

A sixteen-year-old boy from Ayutthaya, whose name was withheld by TPN media due to his age, filed a report to Captain Sanan Kotanan at the Pattaya City Police Station on Soi 9 at 2:00 A.M. early this morning (May 28th).

The victim told Pattaya police he, his sister, and friends were attacked by a group of local teenagers at Jomtien Beach. The victim claims the attack was completely without provocation. The group was currently in town for the weekend, according to his statement.

His sister, whose name was also withheld due to being a minor, told Pattaya police she, some friends, and her brother were taking photos at Jomtien beach before five local teenagers riding in a pickup truck stopped suddenly near them.

'2:00 A.M. early this morning (May 28th).' Pattaya Plod do not go out after dark in case they meet bad men.  For the same reason, they don't work weekends or before 10am/after 4pm.

Poor kids should have taken their photos in daylight, looks much better and before they got the bruises.

In town for the weekend!

One must assume they are fully vaccinated or tested negative upon arrival, Hence no quarantine!

Great news for Pattaya

That should give tourism a shot in the arm

Locals attacking people on the beach

Worse.. locals attacking other thais. This will hamper thais willingness to go there as well as foreigners.

was there an adult between those victims?

those, first of all, should testify to police, their testimony weights more at courts.

on jomtien there is police station, as well as 24h police booth - why report it at pattaya?

what incident involved - just verbal abuse? physical abuse? what injuries? anything stolen from them?

if they have photo shooting on the beach, they might also have pictures  - they had cameras at hands.

the beach is very well lighted, with many security cameras, as well as many witnesses (even at night time there are food vendors). Any car driving on the jomtien rd will be photographed from many road cameras and traced by registration

the hooligans drove up in a car.

elementary,
not a lot of cars at that time of the day.
we will have a look at the traffic video recordings and
the aggressive youngsters will be found, while driving, boarding and leaving the car.
BMW and face-rec software will put their identity on the screen in minutes.
expect the arrest by tomorrow morning latest.
bodily harm, threatening behaviour against bona-fide tourists,
reckless driving on the beach (?),
harming the image of Pattaya,
and giving Thailand a bad reputation locally, abroad, and especially in Tourism source markets.
