I would like to leave Bangkok for a month or so.  Anyone know which province/island I can go to with no quarantine or Covid test?  I prefer to fly but will take a bus. Thanks.

I was in Koh Phangan last week. It was delightful. Quiet. And peaceful. Some restrictions in place. But no Covid cases in over a month, so that is likely to ease, if sanity prevails. Inexpensive now. And masks seemed to be somewhat relaxed. Many were without, though the law enforcement was fairly silly about the wearing of masks, the 11pm curfew, and the whole (non existent on the island) Covid thing.

Did you drive, and do they have a ferry?

Where did you stay?

Yes, I drove. Seatran ferry is operating. Abbreviated schedule, but a few ferries a day. A small screening process, once you get off the boat. Easier if not coming from a red zone. But doable even if coming from a red zone, with the app and a screening. Samui is very chill right now. Cheap and uncrowded. A little depressing as thousands of businesses were shut down. But, still nice.

Phangan by comparison seemed lively, and only minor signs of distress. Worth it. Phangan is a spectacular island. Amazing food. Cool younger crowd.

Stayed beachfront in Lamai, and on the north end of Srithanu in Phangan. Tons of availability on Samui. Harder to find great spots on Phangan. But, do a little research. All good. Worth it.

Koh Chang, several ways to get there (mini buses not running at the moment), you can take a bus from Mor-Chit to Trat, or fly to Trat if they are flying, My choice would be a Taxi, around 3,000B direct to your hotel on the island, if you don't drive.

I wish I could find out if I can fly into  Surat Thani without quarantine from Bangkok.  Sounds good.

Barrow had a link a while back listing provincial requirements but it's now gone.

Yes, fairly sure there is no quarantine going into Surat. It was a red zone itself, until recently. Recently traveled from a red zone to Samui. Just a screening and an app.

Unfortunately, according to Bangkok Airways, Koh Samui requires a negative Covid report presented at the airport if flying from Bangkok.  Maybe I will do that..... Just a bit of a pain and expense.

Hope it's ok to throw a question in here.

Been Koh Samed last few months. Need travel to bkk and back Samed few days later.

So no problems just drive to Bangkok then later drive back. No travel restrictions I'm assuming.
