Here's a sobering though for all the "save the planet" folks

between March and December last year, China apparently produced and shipped around 224.2 billion face masks around the world !

wonder how many of these ended up in landfill or the oceans ?

I have already seen a number of these discarded or dropped on the ground, so your thoughts are correct. Also it must not have escaped anyone's notice that to avoid contamination of foodstuffs more and more items are being packaged individually in plastic.

Greta must be fuming that all her hard work to restrict our groceries being placed in plastic carriers has now been undone several times over. It would be interesting to see the statistics  on the usage over the last 10 years to see what the overall impact has been,

Await photos of a fish somewhere with a mask covering it's mouth and shock horror from the sjw's and end of the world brigade.

yup, probably lots of them from India, but look at the good side, no funeral costs, and keeps the fish happy, even if still hungry .

even those hospital masks can be washed, disinfected with UVC, so can be reused many times, until broken.

I use f95 and the other with an active carbon. I haven't thrown very few masks so far.

But in hospital, factories probably other story, they  are thrown every 2-3 hours
