Contract signed for Thailand’s 20 million doses of Pfizer vaccine, delivery in Q4 this year

Thailand’s purchase contract for 20 million doses of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine has been signed, with delivery expected in the fourth quarter of this year, according to Pfizer and BioNTech today (Tuesday).

COVID-hit businesses in 3 new “Dark Red” provinces, employees to get help

The Thai Cabinet Tuesday agreed to extend financial support to certain types of businesses and their employees in Chachoengsao, Chon Buri and Ayutthaya provinces, which were recently added to the COVID-19 “Dark Red” zones by the CCSA.

BANGKOK (NNT) - Thailand’s Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) has announced that checkpoints are being set up to restrict mobility in the 13 provinces classified as dark-red zones, to prevent COVID-19 from spreading to other areas.

Pattaya restaurant owners once again reduced to take-away only to “fight Covid-19”, many decide to close completely temporarily, others very unhappy

Pattaya – Pattaya was designated a Covid-19 maximum control, or “dark red” zone over the past weekend leading to thousands of restaurants being forced by Thai government mandate to reduce their offerings to take-away only for the third (technically fourth, with a one day closure in December) time in about a year and a half in an already devastated Pattaya highly dependent on tourism.

Sorry chief! Councillor apologizes for resignation letter after 30 million lottery win claim

Homeless man drops dead on the sidewalk in front of Bangkok mall - no Covid but "high risk" says media

PHUKET: All interprovincial buses to and from Phuket have been suspended as the chief of national bus service operator Transport Co Ltd (BorKorSor) has ordered a “temporary suspension” of all bus services throughout the country for two weeks.

Thai PM’s 3-month salary to be turned into COVID-19 ‘survival boxes’

Three months of Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha’s salary, and those of some the government spokesperson’s team, will be spent on COVID-19 “survival boxes”, to be distributed to people in the “Dark Red” zone, according to Government Spokesperson Anucha Burapachaisri.
