Fire destroys Pattaya area theme restaurant and cafe-for the second time!

A fire broke out at a restaurant and cafe decorated with large amusement park-style structures near the Pattaya Courthouse this morning (August 5th). The damage is estimated in the millions of baht.

Takeaway food in malls is only allowed at specified pickup locations according to the Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA), following confusion and complaints that delivery is the only option under newly imposed semi-lockdown measures.

Thailand Introduces Favipiravir Syrup

Bangkok, Aug 5 (TNA) – The Chulabhorn Royal Academy (CRA) and the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science at Chulalongkorn University introduced Thailand’s first favipiravir syrup for COVID-infected children and patients with swallowing difficulty.

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thai consumer confidence dropped to a record low in July, dented by the country's biggest COVID-19 outbreak to date, a sluggish vaccine rollout and a slowing economic recovery, a survey showed on Thursday.

PHUKET: Police have in custody three men last seen drinking with a fellow Myanmar worker who was found slain in his worker’s accommodation room in Soi King Kaew, Rassada, last night (Aug 4).

Almost 100,000 enter home isolation in Bangkok, 20% infection rate in ATK tests

Almost 100,000 people in Bangkok have entered home isolation, while 20% of the COVID-19 tests conducted in Bangkok, using Antigen Test Kits (ATK), have returned positive results, according to the Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) today (Thursday).

FDA warns against fake over-the-counter Favipiravir drug

BANGKOK (NNT) - The Food and Drugs Administration is urging the general public not to self-prescribe the Favipiravir antiviral drug, as that which is available over the counter or online is likely to be fake, while improper use could lead to drug resistance.

DPM Prawit calls for serious action against fake news
