Dramatic vocabulary, but if you think that this regime is "clinging to power by it's fingernails", you are in for a big disappointment and a much longer wait than you infer...

A change at the top is overdue. He and Prawit are blocking the path for those generals who crave power. An armed forces top brass reshuffle this week will upset those overlooked for higher office. A Julius Ceasar scenario beckons. 1

Mavideol
but the "real" news still under censorship removal..... Example: last night watching BBC World news (forgot to turn VPN on) report was about covid vaccines in Asia, they showed China, Vietnam and Thailand, however the Thailand portion started to show the anti government manifestations in Bangkok and the RTP shooting tears gas into the crowd.... all of a sudden all cut/disappeared from the news and they moved into showing some stuff that had nothing to do with news,,,, 3-4 minutes later all back to normal news but no signs of any Thai news.... and that's called freedom of information 555 (sarcastic laugh) 1
spidermike007
It is actually quite a miracle that a Civil Court ruled against the mob. Must have been quite a shock to them. What? A lack of fealty? How dare they uphold the law. How dare they consider the will of the people. The could not make it illegal to criticize a failed regime. They could not make it a crime to complain about malfeasance and incompetency. One small step for the Thai people, one giant leap for mankind. Down with the despots. Victory to the youth!

Uh-huh. They're most certainly well entrenched, as they have been figuratively since the '30s and more realistically since the late '50s - and gaining strength with each passing decade. There are these rather naive and idealistic circles that suggest there is a looming change about. Don't bet the house on it.

ourdon
This really is unfortunate. Unintended consequences. The ban seemed to shut up the TAT at least. I see we're already getting inundated with alarms from all the BS alert programs. Millions of tourists and trillions of baht spent. Lord Love a Duck.
