Positive earth polarity was phased out in the 60's. I have a 1963 Land Rover that was positive earth but I changed it over to negative earth about 30 years ago.

Remeber peeps, with the heat & conditions in LOS batteries get a really hard life here and anything over 12 mths on a bike batt is not bad, yes some get years but depends where kept/stood what conditions... my Mobike batts in UK last at least 4 years or more but here in LOS bearing in mind a few months stood etc and just sheeted up in a carport Im lucky to get 18mths-2 yrs myself
