Recently got a PSI box, trying to watch the weekly free live game on channel 36 and it’s blocking the channel

Says I need to be in Thailand to use the service. What’s the problem?

Is anybody up to speed on these PSI Sat. boxes. Up until recently the kids could watch cartoons , but now all channels apart from the mainstay news and soap channels are blocked.....Or is it that I need to upgrade the Sat. box , we have had it since 2010.

There are a few possibilities  that spring to mind

1  the LNB  is only receiving one polarity or band 11ghz/12ghz

that could be a problem with the receiver or LNB

2 the transponder that sends updated BISS codes  has changed

3 receiver needs firmware update  to receive new BISS codes among other things  maybe updated transponder list    sometimes you can manually change the update transponder in the receiver settings.

You could try doing a factory reset..if that doesn't work then probably easiest to call a satellite installation crew to come have a look.

My FIL recently had this problem . So on Checking Ch PPTV36 are not blocking as the messge say you need to tune to PPTV36 HD. When your dish is fixed to Thai K sat you will only pick up PPTV36 which was his problem.  You direct the dish to pick up Thaicom 6. Re-scan channels. You can then search and find PPTV36 HD V . Problem solved.

So Thaicom 6 and 8 .....    where did "Thai K sat"  come from ?

No idea but that is what was displayed on the PSI box and all the channels were tuned to previously so guess an old sat coming to the end of its useful life hence the use of Thaicom 6 etc.
