Happy Harinto, Chief Strategic Communication Officer of the Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA), declared that Indonesia is proud to host the MotoGP pre-season test at the Mandalika Circuit in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, on February 11-13, 2022.

"To be able to serve as a destination for the pre-season test in 2022 is an honour for the Mandalika circuit, for Indonesia," Harinto told ANTARA on Saturday.

The Mandalika Circuit has joined the World Superbike calendar as the venue of the concluding series on November 12-14 this year, despite being a new circuit.

Harinto sees this as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Indonesia, given that not all countries can be trusted to host pre-season tests.
Various components of the physical racers, motorcycles, engines, chassis, tyres, and clothing, as well as helmets, were tested during the pre-season test.

"As a result, everything from drivers to test technicians is being tested," he explained, "so that later standardisation or technology criteria can be applied during the 2022 racing season."

Most significantly, he stated, all MotoGP riders, as well as manufacturers and partners, would visit the Mandalika track.

Harinto later stated that this is an Indonesian automotive asset that is attempting to attract international notice.
Indonesia should be able to learn from other countries' automobile businesses.
