I mean, how could a Thai person with such a lovely, polite Wai do such a thing? ???? Here's my prediction. Seeing as this has hit social media there will be lots of talk of police reform. Joe Ferrari will have to do a (very short) stretch in a very luxurious wing of the prison. Meanwhile, judges, prosecutors, lawyers, prison directors etc. all end up with extraordinarily wealthy gardeners and Joe Ferrari comes out of prison a lot poorer than he went in, but still a very wealthy man (more of a Joe BMW). I reckon you hit the nail on the head with that assessment!

Everybody look you up and really deep wai first! And every farang who has even little moved out of they own bubble knows that almost every police in LOS is corrupted. Even small villages biggest house is owned by police and whit they salary its not possible!

There is no one who "clean", so there is no one with the motivation to sort this mess out. Hence bring in the Chinese and execute the lot of them from the top down to provincial level. The rest then may understand corruption will be punished. If that is 10,000 or 100,000 it makes no matter . The bigger the number punished the bigger the incentive not to do it. 3

OK, maybe not luxury but there are private cells, mobile phones, drugs/alcohol, half decent food, conjugal visits available if you have cash to pay guards. Certainly luxury compared to being in the sardine section eating fish head soup every day. https://thethaiger.com/hot-news/crime/thai-prison-governor-fired-for-allowing-inmate-conjugal-visit 4 1

tomacht8
Thai customs officials say Mr Thitisant confiscated 368 such cars since 2011, which could potentially have earned him around 400 million baht. So he have 600 million baht. Where the difference aka 200 millions come from? Extortion? Drug trafficking?

It is clearly a scam they were running to keep the cash cow flowing. Have any of the top people from this super car theft ring been arrested? This should be part of the main focus as well. How do you seize 600 super cars without totally breaking up the ring itself?? 3
