Mawin Thanaphat died after having many layers of plastic bags wrapped round his head.

No wonder Joe was so extravagant in his usage of plastic bags, 600 million baht and cars. All those plastic bags not good for the environment either. In some circles, that alone would be enough to hang him.

Well, if the media can be believed, the suffocated gentleman (the findings at the end might suggest, that he suicided himself) was "suggested" a no-plastic-bags-over-your-head-tariff of THB 2 million .....

Does this imply, that 300 other gentlemen with the same suggestion ........ paid up the fee and walked? Just wondering?

Hence bring in the Chinese and execute the lot of them from the top down to provincial level. The rest then may understand corruption will be punished. If that is 10,000 or 100,000 it makes no matter . The bigger the number punished the bigger the incentive not to do it.

Is this after a trial?

You going to send a bill for the cost of the bullets to the families like they in China?

They could go to N Korea for attitude adjustment or the front of the missile launcher.

600 Million THB in assets , salary 43,000 THB month ,I think

the tax man needs to have a close look at him too.

regards Worgeordie

Majority of the Thai population tolerate corruption but not paying income tax .

There will not be any close investigation on the accused murderer's income tax in my opinion .

There are also an alleged three or four other cases of extortion of drug suspects being investigated against Joe.

Then it wasn't an isolated incident. Extortion from drug traffickers for personal gain. To what extent Joe and his corrupt gang then continued to use their contacts with the drug milieu for future business remains unclear. Organized crime in uniform.

So not unusually wealthy then (for a policeman). We the people need an example made of this man to serve as a warning to the rest of the wannabe Joe Ferraris in the police force. I do worry that most police feel jealous of him and would love to be in his position, so if we cleaned up the police force.

They need to go up the management chain here....all this guys bosses all the way to Prawit....no bail and give them all life sentences as an example to others.

So from the get go of finishing police academy around 7 years ago he started nailing high profile criminal busts which all had luxury cars involved and managed over 400 so far ! ????????????

So the question is did he do all the work on these cases himself including going and arresting everyone ? Because if he didn’t and he had other police helping him then surely they would have been entitled to a share of the sale money of these seized cars etc ! In which case it makes the value of property , cash and cars he had even more harder to believe ! ????

You think they are any different ? Mr Xi is the top godfather of them all , no surprises any of his potential rivals have been strung up over the past few years on "trumped" up charges (no pun intended).... Self appointed Chairman for life equates to unchallengeable dictator just like his pal in DPRK.

Thailand is mafia run both military and police and there is sweet Fanwah Adams anyone can do about it except suck it up , pay the necessary to stay out of courts and hope they destroy each other just as any mafia do eventually (to be replaced by a new "family" of course). Elections yu say ? Don't waste your time on those either.

For many Thai its not the money, its position and power! Everybody look you up and really deep wai first! And every farang who has even little moved out of they own bubble knows that almost every police in LOS is corrupted. Even small villages biggest house is owned by police and whit they salary its not possible!

Unless the biggest houses in the small villages are paid for by the police wife’s Farang boyfriend, who left his brain at the airport ????

Oh, I think the real numbers of "cases of extortion" would be much higher than that.

Would be nice to see the victims come up and name him, however they have no power, even if granted indemnity) nor would they live long after completing the statement, would be a fast hotshot I guess

Olastic bags are too gross and hold fingerprints
