Bangkok, Thailand, 9 September 2021 – Following the lifting of domestic travel restrictions and the resumption of flights, Thais are again making travel plans to rediscover home and it’s clear that domestic is the preference.

Latest data revealed that Hua Hin ranks #1 on Thais’ Airbnb wishlists, with Stays in the beach destination comprising seven of the top ten wishlisted Stays anywhere in the world by Thai guests. Just one overseas Stay in Seoul, South Korea made the list.

For those new to the platform, Airbnb Wishlists is a helpful tool in travel planning and shortlisting from the millions of amazing vacation rentals available. It enables guests to keep track of their favourite Stays in one place, and curate multiple Wishlists by geography, theme, price point, favourite features, etc.

I thought Air BnB was banned in Thailand or you have to book a minimum of 30 nights or some such???

Funny how that little jem pops up when they start talking about opening up HH

Air Bnb is pretty pricey when you add the taxes.

Long stays with no breakfast or daily maids isn't really a good fit for me.

I'd rather stay at a resort.

Half the vacation is to get away from cleaning and cooking.

And the AirBnB properties (in condos at least) tend to have little or no management control.

Quite possible to find yourself in a hell hole.

Yes.

We enjoyed our big condo but in the end it would have been cheaper just to have stayed at a beachfront resort.

I asked for daily cleaning.  They wanted 1500.00 baht a day extra.

Good question.

The beach condo in Hua Hin stay seemed like holiday makers only.

The Santorini, next to the Anantara Hua Hin.

Hundreds of condos.

I think there were maybe 40 people there.

The next visit we decided to stay at the Anantara.  Very nice.  Great breakfast!

5 star resort.

That area of Hua Hin (Makro area) hasn't the best beaches though.

I prefer the Hilton or Marriott.

I don't I'll be using Air BnB again.  Some Thai owners tend to neglect there properties.

Lot of cheaper Hotels and guest houses to stay at, than the Hilton or Marriot, which are among the most expensive places

in Hua Hin to stay at. I am wondering just how many of the guest houses are still around, since COVID, I imagine

that there are many that have closed at least temporary.

Geezer
