HappyExpat57
Let's look at Phuket which they claim has worked so well. 1. More than 200 cases per day, several days running. 2. Only 15% of hospital beds currently available. More restrictions = less cases Less restrictions = more cases Sure, let's OPEN those borders, EASE those restrictions. Is Thailand anywhere near 15% vaccination yet?

Up north they stay out later, check less and drink a lot, relative low vaccination rates and no issues since day 1 that are significant. ''Only 15% hospital beds available'' of what is assigned for COVID only perhaps. Hearing the same stories from Isaan, where they just go around and about, only on real incidents close that down right away. Otherwise, no big issues either. More or less restrictions does nothing to this virus. Edited September 13, 2021 by ChaiyaTH

Curfew remain 9pm and no bars allowed open along with 'encouragement of tourists' to holiday Oct 1. Brilliant business plan. Blame the people, blame alcohol, shut down business, shut down tourism, shut everything down, Elon Musk is not bored he publicly announced he and his family will not be taking the vaccine, any vaccine, he is so busy building space x rockets to be bored with covid. Now the whole world seems mesmerized, by the 70% vaccination program , get that and you can open up. Denmark has opened, other countries have been open throughout , Australia has said it will open the people can not take any more, NZ can not control Delta with lockdowns , lockdowns are costing billions, people are getting food handouts , bussiness are going broke, mortgaging their houses and still going down the tube. Not one, media outlet will publish anything but vaccination as the Covid answer, u r ,a conspiracist if you mention Ivermectin, yet when the breaks come off at 70% I would guess that treatments will have to change. Israel , look at what is happening there, reinfection after it's massive vaccination program. No big business gurus complain about the state of airlines, with planes sitting in the desserts now , rotting, hotels threatening to close for ever , big wealthy people own the MIQ hotels in NZ that are being filled daily with Delta fly ins , and now the MIQ's are leaking virus to the innocent public, they can not stop it. Amazing that hospital deaths are so low, and not flooded to capacity in most countries. Denmark said we can open because we know our health system can cope with this now. So who will take over the hotels that have to close, the ones not owned by the big boys, who will own the airlines, who will be the covid passport administrators that dictate where you go and what app you must have or stay home . They will milk the cows for the next few years until, one day, people might start having side effects from this economic meltdown, which is destroying lives, exhalerating anti depressant meds and psychiatrist schools. Councilors courses at universities will be booked out. And those that refuse a jab will be chased up, and in Joe Bidens world you, will be a pandemic of the unvaccinated . May the force be with you.

Midwit
Imagine all of these people so seriously ill that you have to do a ramped up PCR test to say they are sick. The world has redefined what it means to be sick. Vaccines used to be given so your body has the ability to know how to fight it so you are immune to the virus. The new definition is now you still have the same viral load, can still spread the virus but might not get as seriously ill. Maybe we can redefine closed businesses next so it seems like they are still open.

If one is vaccinated the morbidity and serious complications drop dramatically. Constant publication of infection numbers just scares the uninformed and serves no purpose. Dead right!
